Digital Day 2018 will take place in Brussels on 10th April 2018.

This one-day event will bring together high-level stakeholders in the fields of digital technology and telecommunication. The event is organised by the European Commission under the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The event will count with different sessions on the following priorities on digital technologies:

  • Digital Day one year after: Investing together in the future
  • Paving the way for the EU Artificial Intelligence initiative
  • Blockchain Partnership Initiative
  • Joining forces and data to personalise healthcare
  • Digital transformation: Investing in the future of Europe.

Before the closure there will be a special session where the Innovation Radar Platform will be launched by Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Digital Economy & Society. This will be the official opening of the tool which will allow everyone in Europe discovering the top innovators and innovations emerging from Research and Innovation funded initiatives by the European Commission.

Based on the data from this tool, IRSUS project has been conducting a preliminary study of a group of innovators, that will be offered free support services in the framework of the project. At this point over 400 innovators have been contacted and over 25 individually interviewed. The delivery of support services to help them reaching the market will start next May.

Our coordinator, Miguel García, will attend the Digital Day 2018 and assist to the official opening of the Innovation Radar Platform by the Commissioner Gabriel.
